A Poet's Prayer

I may chose to suffer selective amnesia,
And endeavor to forget thee;
I may chose to suffer selective myopia,
And so thee i may not see;
So mine eyes i close ,trying to forget what i chose,
Before the magic of Poetry in me i lose.
