I tried

I tried to write again today.
I wanted to relieve my pain.
Get things out a different way.

But I failed again today.
I lost my train of thought.
I had no words to say.

So I tried a smile on today.
Wanted to see how it felt.
Thought perhaps it would stay.

But I frowned too much today.
Nothing would go right.
Sunny skies faded to grey.

So I finally gave up on today.
I lost my strength.
I cried my night away.

But maybe I'll try another day.
There's a chance tomorrow could be right.
It'll have reason, no clouds of grey.

Yes, tomorrow is another day.
But tonight seems so long.
Tick tock, time slowly slips away.
