Roses Help Him Remember.

[Dedicated to TJ, someone very close to me and who recently just lost his mother.]

A dreadful disease took an angelic soul by the hand,
escorting her to the serene place of heaven.
Behind, her son glances up above with eyes full
of love, and a heart whispering, "I love you, mom."

Her son mourns his mother's death yet knows
that she'll remain a part of his life forever.
Although she is no longer physically by his side,
her presence will linger over him every day.

Holding long stemmed roses close to his heart,
helps him remember the memories shared,
Two people entwined with love of family,
will never depart as his mother looks down.

Smiling with pride as the sun shines bright,
brings warmth, evaporating her son's tears.
The unique fragrance of roses lingers in the fresh air,
left as a gift, a signal of her son's undying love.
