Dream

I swear to you that I'm a dream
A ghost to haunt both heart and mind
Cut in time I stain the sky
A freak that hides out of sight

Raining tears of sparkling glass
A knife to carve my every thought
To be forever lost inside my mind
Holding tight to your thought of life

I pretend to survive on realities stand
Only to be lost in the dream I am
Forgotten by hope I wander the road
To find a friend in toxicities hand

Drowning in fake I hear the voice
I shut away from all that's real
Hiding from all the eyes that stare
I run and fade into the night

Waiting for the torch to light my way
Giving my life to this disease I've made
I kill myself in hopeless thoughts
Dreaming the dream I've come to be
