An Addiction

A blackened heart
Under the stars
Dipped in blood
To hide the pain
As drenched in tears
Flows to the grave

A beautiful story
Her wrists do tell
Of a girl slowly drowning
In the pouring rain
A world she created
As she ran from her pain

Every night she sits alone
With a bleeding heart
Her tears fall down
A sad song plays
An angel sings
A crimson sun is rising

A desperate soul
Her beauty stained
She stands with noting left to gain
Shes slowly dying
Destroying herself
She threw her life away

Her wrists are bound
At mercys end
She has been marked
By her own hand
And here she waits
As the trumpets sound

A final cut
One last high
Fading light
She closes her eyes
Praying to finally be released
But shes tied by the hands of fate
