Good Intent

by Millions   Mar 1, 2009

You're vacant and dormant
And anger rises with no relent
Me, I'm hollow and withering
And filled with only good intent

All the thousand miles i crossed
To tiptoe to your feet
To look into those frozen eyes
And not once feel the heat

To know the burn of love lost
And in the mirror, see what we used to be
How dare you say, that she compares
To how you felt for me

I thought you grasped the concept
That i wasn't ready just like that
To watch you break my heart again
And give me only pieces back

I don't quite understand
How to just let go
But I'll take this love and bury it deep
And hope it doesn't show

I'll do my best to move on
And start my life anew
I'll mend my broken pieces
And mail them back to you
