As Long As I Live {I'll Never Forgive You}

by Jenni Marie   Mar 5, 2009

After everything that I've done for you
All of my respect and trust you've betrayed
Pretending once more that you're the victim here
Yeah, keep on playing this stupid masquerade

Continue feigning that you've done nothing wrong
Acting always like you're the greatest best friend
Make another sob story for the next available ear
When all you do is act and constantly pretend

Supposed to be the one person I can depend on
Never would have thought that you'd make me cry
With every passing second become more angry
And with each minute my dislike intensifies

Would have done anything in the world for you
And you know that all you had to do was ask
Yet you chose to steal from me, lie to me
Never saw deceit hidden underneath your mask

And now that you've finally been caught out
Doing your best to wreck things with me and him
What's that saying, what goes around comes around
So honey I hope that you have learned to swim!

Don't know why I'm wasting time crying for you
For clearly you're not worth a single tear
Loved you more than you'll ever realize
Now know your friendship was never sincere

And I hate you for everything that you've done
This time, it's one to many things to forgive
Your the last person I expected to hurt me
And I'll hate you for it for as long as I live

I loved this one too. I've also had friend problems with betrayal. We're no longer friends either.
    Here's a couple mistakes:

"Now (I) know your friendship was never sincere

And I hate you for everything that you've done
This time, it's one (too) many things to forgive

kepp on writing. comment on any of my recent ones?????

    Interesting write..

'After everything that I've done for you
All of my respect and trust you've betrayed
Pretending once more that you're the victim here
Yeah, keep on playing this stupid masquerade'

The word 'stupid' ruined this stanza for me, it made it sound a bit immature? I think it was a word too many for the flow too.

'Continue feigning that you've done nothing wrong
Acting always like you're the greatest best friend
Make another sob story for the next available ear
When all you do is act and constantly pretend'

Good stanza, I liked the third line. The deliverance was sharp. Suppose we can all relate to this, we've all had friends who have treated us like crap.

'Would have done anything in the world for you
And you know that all you had to do was ask
Yet you chose to steal from me, lie to me
Never saw deceit hidden underneath your mask'

The last line didn't make sense to me because if you knew your friend was wearing a mask in the first place, then wouldnt you/the narrator be suspicious in the first place? Powerful wording though..

'And now that you've finally been caught out
Doing your best to wreck things with me and him
What's that saying, what goes around comes around
So honey I hope that you have learned to swim!'

Swim? Are you planning to drown her? Haha. Didn't understand that part. I liked the rhythm in this stanza, it had a feel of immediacy.

The ending was powerful and not much to comment on.

A well delivered piece that with some minor changes, will be better.

    Well done. :)
