Crimson lullaby

by Meagan Adelle   Mar 16, 2009

Morbid thoughts and horrid dreams.
Echoing all the while, my silent screams.
Surrounded by hate, don't know how to deal.
Lost in illusion. Can this be real?

Inner demons and strong withdrawal.
Can't stand up, to my knees I fall.
Temptation lurks and nightmares unfold.
Intensifying pain, caught in a stranglehold.

Oh I cannot see, I cannot feel.
Don't know what to think, but this can't be real.
This is a nightmare, not a dream.
Please wake me, I need to scream.

Chest on fire, I feel it tightening.
Shadows on the wall, so terribly frightening.
Colors fade to gray, now to black.
Give into the crimson lullaby, don't turn back.

Scream so loud without a sound.
No one can hear, but they're all around.
The lullaby is here and stole your voice.
Now give into it, it's your only choice.

Oh I cannot see, I cannot feel.
Don't know what to think, but this can't be real.
So unalive, I've picked up the knife.
The crimson lullaby- it's a way of life.
