Sometimes

by Robert Daniel Long   Mar 22, 2009

See life in its true form
The picturesque beauty of love
And giving

Sometimes it's a journey
Or a voyage
That brings us to a place
Of peace

Where our thoughts become virgin
Undaunted by society
It's like a fog that's lifted
From life itself
And for the first time
We're able to see

Sometimes
A moment is all we need
To see the damage done
By our words

Harm is easily inflicted
But hard to remove
And sometimes
We fail to see that

Yet sometimes
We bring out the beauty
Of life

Helping others to see
Things they've missed
You know the sights

Or to lend a smile

Or to comfort those in need
Of a warm heart

That heart we can embrace
In true friendship
One that's not entangled
By any agenda

Sometimes
Care
Seems to come
All to often to late
It's like it's
Caught up in the mix
Of turmoil and strife
You know
Hindered in some way

It would seem good
To look back
On life
Not to see what we could have done
But to see
What we did

What a lovely write. Sometimes if we did these things, perhaps the world would be a better place and we would be better for it. Well done.

What a magnificently beautiful write. A very inspirational piece indeed. Lovely message that people should heed.

^^ Perfectly penned stanza in my opinion. Oft times people do not realize what they say or do and then sometimes its like the age of awareness when we reach that point and become so much more mature when we can realize what we have done or said. Magnificent penned piece here and very well done.
