Fleeting Thoughts

by Sourav   Apr 3, 2009

Castigated by the bows of sorrow
Broken wings of a tiny sparrow
Leafless branch of a quiet tree
I find inspiration for this poetry

Blood of a cruelly slaughtered lamb
Perplexed smile of a civilized sham
Sudden death of a delicate reverie
Tearful eyes read life's theory

Sadness always has living face
Life tends to wear solitary dress
Occult shadow of my fortune tree
There, I find myself bleeding silently.

    A wonderful poem Sou !
I really love how you were inspired by the little broken things in life..amazing how sorrow inspires us this way.

Leafless branch of a quiet tree
I find inspiration for this poetry
    - I loved those two lines a lot, the beginning stanza was very good also..though I would prefer removing "this" from the last line..it gives more facility to the reader, for the syllable count is pretty long in the line.

    Sadness always has living face
    - I think you need an "a" before the word "living"..am I right here?

Sudden death of a delicate reverie
    Tearful eyes read life's theory
    - How did you come up with these stuff? hehe, I loved the first line so very much, the metaphor was amazing.

a great job in this piece =)

I feel so much sadness coming from your words.

It seems so many poems come from the pain and sorrow we feel in our hearts. I think writing gives us a release from the pain.

    Sadness always has living face
Life tends to wear solitary dress
Occult shadow of my fortune tree
There, I find myself bleeding silently.

We usually do hold in the pain and suffer in silence...you did a wonderful job on this piece.
    Take care

This could fit into several catergories. It is about life and it is sad and nature is included. The words are powerful and this line touched me: Sadness always has living face.

    An excellent write. 5/5
