Silently, I Scream

by ilu   Apr 15, 2009

Seeing you hold her hand
As you stood side by side,
Nothing hurts me more
Than you putting me aside.

The way she laughs,
The way she smiles,
The sight of it is enough
To ponder everything that I don't have.

Watching you smile
Everytime she comes around,
As you watch her laugh
Listening carefully to her sound.

Though I was here
Right in front of you,
The reflection in your eyes,
Flaunts that only her holds your heart.

Here behind you , I will stay,
As I wait for you to turn the other way.
Waiting for nothing, or so it seems,
And in here, silently, I scream.

I love the innocence of this poem, and the smooth flow reflected that perfectly. This stanza though needs to be rephrased:

    Though I was here
    Right in front of you,
    The reflection in your eyes,
Flaunts that only her holds your heart.

the last line doesn't make sense grammatically. I'd try something like ''Flaunts how she grasps your heart." Or if you prefer it simply change the her to she: "flaunts that only she holds your heart." besided that its very well writen, you see clearly the story, and it really gets your imagination going.

keep up the good work, 5/5
