I cried, I yelled, so we fought.
This was no fairytale; We had no happy ending.
Rainbows and butterflies; They were all just in the beginning.

I didn't want to end it, but it was for the best.
That's what I believed, but for you it was just a test.
And I promised you I love you, I always will.
But there's a hole in your heart I don't think I could fill.

I miss you already, I really do.
And somehow deep inside your heart, you do too.
What kills us, makes us feel better.
It hurts for me to say this but I still wanna be your forever.

You see what is there to love through my imperfection.
You gave my life a whole new direction.
With you I've learned that things are not easy and fast;
Showed me the love that is going to last.
