Drug

by Lance Hardy   May 7, 2009

A whirlwind, screaming, choking away
A pounding storm of fury, feeding my flame
Deep and dark, further, than I've been before
Listening closer than I have, bleeding out my pores

Tearing, and peeling, at a flesh so thin
Losing deeper and deeper, and further within
Feeling strength, and bone, like never before
Time passing through quickly, exiting out the door

The rush is so strange, yet similar, so real
Makes me believe I'm alive, let me feel
Forget everything around, neither pain nor fret
Existing in this today, leaving out the regret

Believing, that there is, something more,
Something invisible, something more, than ever before
Blacking out the familiar, and embracing the new
I found a new drug, that's too good to be true
