My Last

by Caroline   May 8, 2009

Gave my parents one last kiss,
I hug my siblings one last time.
They're so unaware,
They think I'm fine.

I eat my last breakfast,
Then throw it all back up.
I prayer my last prayer,
But its not enough.

My last look in the mirror,
I try to smile my last smile.
It doesn't quit work,
Hasn't for quite awhile.

I take my last shot,
Savor the warm sensation.
Cry my last tears,
Which kill all hesitation.

Smoke my last cigarette,
To calm my shakey soul.
Making my last call,
To make sure you know.

Saying my last goodbye,
Then never again.
Making my last choice,
My last sin.

Writing my last words,
A few "I love yous"
I'm so sorry,
But I can't do this anymore.

My last cut,
Deep across my wrist.
My last time to bleed,
My last time to feel helpless.

Soon it'll be over,
I'll take my last breath.
Don't worry baby,
It's for the best.

My last feeling of guilt,
I had a heart you couldn't mend.
Please don't feel bad,
Because it's my last end.
