See it on my arms

It's such a scary thing,
when love actually causes harm.
You can't see the scar on my heart,
But you can see them on my arms.

You were the perfect man,
So I must have messed up somewhere.
You used to say you loved me more then anything,
Now it feels like you never really did care.

Theirs a no return policy on love,
No matter how quickly it seems to fall apart.
And to make matters worse,

Every time I think of you,
And those eyes that twinkle like the stars.
It only reminds me of what I lost,
And opens up old scars.

Now I'm just trying to survive,
Trying not drown in my own tears.
They seemed to have washed away all my defenses,
Only leaving fears...
