Her Grandmothers Eyes

by Lindsay   Jun 2, 2009

I look upon them with horror-
Could women really walk in those?
Like an elephant balancing on toothpicks
I try,
And I hate them
Never will I be convinced to go out wearing these
And these clothes I think
Pink.
Glitter.
…Lace.
And those heels.
Nothing would convince…
And then there was her face.
I’ll wear the outfit.
I’ll wear the shoes.
Because the look in her eyes… I look just like she did as a girl.
One day
I will be a shadow of my former self
And my granddaughter
Will wear clothes
for me.

Well, its kinda short but the message you were trying to convey was vivid although it was difficult to read due to some boxes and stuff...they were destructing the entire set up of the poem..At first it was already odd to read..I would suggest to repost it and check for the fonts...I'll give you 4 for that...
