Lost Hopes .

by Chrissy   Jul 1, 2009

Don't get my hopes up, don't make me believe
something might happen, something so unexpected
something so sudden, that just so happens to mean the world to me.

I see something there, a spark of interest
a firework waiting to flare.

Why can't I be good enough to bring you back to me.
To make you see, we should be together, you and me forever, endlessly for all eternity.

I've changed and that's obvious, but your oblivious.
I changed almost everything, knowing it would
please you. But still that's not good enough, what more can I do?

Am I waisting myself on something useless?
Am I hoping for something that's hopeless?

Our situation is less than perfect, but we can use
it's imperfections to enhance it's beauty.

Timeless clocks, and waterless docks
make as much sense as us not being together,
you and me forever, endlessly for all eternity.

Whatever you wish, I will do.
I have so much to offer
but for you, and only you.

I never stopped loving you
I don't understand why
but out star burned out
the one way up in the sky.
