Lost

My heart is lost,
If it you do see,
Would you inform me fast,
And return it to me?

I lost it not so long ago,
It seems like just yesterday,
I had it here with me,
Before he stole it away.

And he still holds my heart,
Wherever he may be.
If he would only listen to reason,
I'm sure he would agree.

If you happen to stumble over it,
And realize that it's mine,
Please return it so I can heal faster,
Instead of in my own good time.
