Holding You Down

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Aug 7, 2009

Scrape away the sun, and replace it with your smile,
so it may burn brighter for a little while.
At least until the rain clouds come to block the light
and cause the pretty sky to turn as black as night.

From laughter creates a gorgeous starry sky,
soon to be forgotten when you start to cry.
These drops plummet down to the barren earth
when you forget to think of what you're really worth.

Let me see your veins and the blood running through,
so I may kiss away the scars so it's just like new.
We'll focus on your future and cross out your past
and try to make this flailing life of yours last.
