The Contented Heart

by Ray Smallshaw   Sep 1, 2009

I look at my world and see the poverty, sickness and hatred that infects it and I cry,

I cry for those who are encompassed by it all yet I also cry for the joy of being blessed by what my God has bestowed on me that of a contented heart,

Even though I have felt life's horror through my own mistakes and weaknesses and I have lost that precious something,

Yet, God has always been there for me, as he stepped in and gave me the push and the will to see my wrongs,

He helped me face the lose I had caused myself and he once more restored my contented heart,

Now prayer for me is always of thanks and I only I ask him for help when my love ones are in need as I know he has my back,

Faith to me is the contented heart he has given me and so I unashamedly kneel, bow and give him my Love.
