Wake Up, Open the Door, and Escape

by Ixora   Sep 20, 2009

"If only, if only
You werent so lonley,"
he said
If only
we gave love so easily,
and it was enough.

Well how does it feel
to lose everything?
They ask with smiles
barley contained behind
eyes of sympathy.
How tragic.

It feels like black and white
simplicity.
Don't judge me.

Tomorrow the rain will come
and only shadow
Dare to fall...
fall in love
in such a rainy way.

But I still hide my back
To a wall
and I stare blankly ahead,
at the future we all long ago knew
would still be dead.

Patience comes with loss
when you learn not to expect
just live.
And she lives weaving her web
breathing with every lie,
every loss,
her oxygen.

Patience to the spider
he whispered she was a liar.
Tears in his eyes.
But that red beating thing,
in her chest
wouldnt be moved.
Regrets hit her but no pain.
No more pain.

As he watched her silhouette diminish
He wondered,
How he had fallen so truly in love.
Walking away he stored her as a memory
and wondered
If only.
