My memories of a better time
Float upon the color of you eyes
Reminding of the man I once was
I wish you would not have to cry

Yes I am changing into someone
Someone I cannot begin to understand
Someone I hope is a better person in life
Then this reflection I once had of a man

I have watched as the sun rose in the east
And as the sunset somewhere in the west
I watched the first star glow In the north
And I have prayed for peace and a heart of rest

But my feet seem to never stop going forward
Marching into a world of unchanging wars
And never-ending hate for the world around me
If we all could just stop; the world is full of stars

My love is still different then things you will see
My heart can still beat if you wish that out of me
I'm not no not ever trying to push you away
If anything my love I'm begging for you to stay

    This was an excellent write. Feelings flowed like no other in this one. I felt it in every word I read.
    The flow was good, the rhyming was nice.
    It is hard when you're changing to have someone understand that you still want them by your side.

    This was a good poem and the words which you spoke are true . The emotion is felt by many and you put it nicely. The flow was good as so was the rhyming scheme which you kept constant. The poem was good all in all so good job.
