Absconded Love

False statements pour from your mouth,
leaving a trail of disdain behind you.
Words that held omnipotent meaning
are unraveling with every motion.

Driving me away from your embrace,
though I want nothing more than to stay.
The once magnificent sunlight has fallen;
morphed into never ending lies and deceit.

Love has absconded; it's gone without a trace
our arms are left empty, nothing to grasp.
Hearts have collapsed on the ice cold floor;
our minds are clouded with only distant memories.
