No tears from her eyes

by gasping for air   Jun 16, 2004

No tears from her eyes ever fell,
No warm ones,
No cold ones.
There were never any,
None that fell in drips,
None that fell heavily.

She hurt,
More than words could say,
More than anyone could understand.
Still,
No tears from her eyes,
Ever fell.

She bottled up,
All of the feelings,
All of the pain.
Her only release,
Was the knife,
She hid under her bed.

No tears ever fell from her eyes,
But there were ones,
She let flow from her wrists.
Red and vivid,
Seeing them made her disapear,
Made her slip away for a little while.

The pain, the red tears,
Let her focus on something else,
Let her forget the pain in her heart.
And because no tears fell from her eyes,
She's flying,
In heaven with the angels.
