Cross My Heart

by DarkCrystalbtrfy   Nov 30, 2009

Of love and passion
And how they collide
Of the stars in each other's eyes
Of fire and how it consumes the soul
Caressing flames stroke your skin
And you know that you're lost with in
The romance that comes by night
The wind whispering, the air just right
Emerald leaves across the ground
Strewn about making some but little sound
Heated glances fingertips slide
Dewdrops fall, from starlit sky
And compassion calls from teardrops shed
But now comprehending the path ahead
Intertwined fingers, gasping with need
Hungry kisses, command agreed
The wind cooling blowing by
Shivering engulfed in velvet sky
And still I cross my heart
And hope not to die
