Dove

by DarkCrystalbtrfy   Dec 5, 2009

And walking down the steps of life
I spotted you among all the turbulent strife
An anchor in the midst of a uncertain world
I reached out my hand to take yours
For a moment you stopped to look at me
I saw confusion in your gaze and uncertainty
But I smiled and got lost in your eyes
You took me in your arms and I couldn't sense a goodbye
Your voice it flowed with an unacquainted ease
I began to relax and set myself free
From all the restless images of fright
You touch banishes them to the night
And when your arms are around me
I can feel your heart beating in tune to mine
I forget the rest of the world, I smile and sigh
You bend your head down, your lips touch mind
The puzzle pieces lock in this heart of mine

Very good write. I believe that the flow was untouchable and the rhyme scheme was on point. Only suggestion:

"You touch banishes them to the night"
    ^^'you' should be 'your'??

Other than that I see no flaws. So I give this one a 5/5. Good job.
