Life Was Going Great

by Brittany Klein   Dec 9, 2009

Life was going great
I had finally put down the blade
My life was turning around
I had it made
Six months or more
I had been free
Life was going smooth
It was quite easy
But now my heartache is back
My pain has returned
Cutting, slicing, carving
But Im not very concerned
Just take away my life
Its as easy as that
Take away the pain
Make it not come back

Short but written very nicely. I guess you are explaining the pain that really troubles you a lot.

    You have used the sentence:

    My pain has returned

That means the poet had suffered from the same pain earlier also. That would had been a very terrible pain. So the poet knows that it's better to die peacefully then to live with that pain again.

Rightly understandable, yes, at certain cases people lose their desire to live.

In my view, this poem should had been written in two stanzas.

Overall Well Done!! Keep on writing. 5/5.

Hmm i remember the days i felt like that...
life gets better, but pain and sorrow never go away,
You just tend to deal with it better through out the years.
    Good stuff.
