Profundum

by Niveus Nox   Dec 18, 2009

(I want to know how you're all interpreting this one. I haven't had a single friend interpret this as I wrote it. It's fairly advanced in its underlying meanings.)
*Edit* - By no means are your interpretations wrong. I'm just interested in yours.

The broken glass is calling,
With deep blue eyes hypnotized,
Reflections made to mesmerize,
A gleaming sheet devouring consciousness.

Gaze unbroken looks upon
the essence of thy soul
so cold, by embracing wholly
freezing wine, for which thine heart desires.

Memories of old are piercing
through the framework of thy cells,
op'ning paths to memoirs amass
now languish all the more.

From harrowing, reprieve
still deeper, holding those dear...forever.
