Reptile Prisoner

by BlueEyedMystery   Dec 29, 2009

Dusk swam in
Drowning my wax heart.

Monster!

Fatigue overcame my body.
(For just a few seconds.)
While my turtleneck hugged-
(strangled) me into unconsciousness.

Slither.. slither..
He was completely nefarious
Caressing the paleness of my skin.

The ghastly thing,
he just kept coming.

(as if my screams called to him)

My toes clenched at it's touch.
Rough.. scratchy.. sharp..
(It's burning me!)

The language of the reptiles was upon my breath.

It's venomous heart thudding,
loving every bit of my torture.
My life. Feed me..
Please?

Sleep tight my little pet.
Dawn is taking control of the night.

You did such a good job blending in the words. They weren't obvious or in strange places. I read this and was like "where are the words?" lol. That's what I wanted. This was a flawless piece. I love that. So many people tried the contest but few of you did it just how I expected it. Plus your topic was interesting and really caught my attention so *claps* for that lol. You always amaze me so I shall keep reading your works or genius :) Nik
