You Look at Me, But You Don't Know

You look at me
And stare at my eyes
You don't know
That they're filled with lies

You look at me
I'm standing still
You don't know my heart is breaking inside
As though I've been killed

You look at me
And I seem fine
But I'm actually dying inside
Telling myself the same line

You look at me
Catch me staring into space
And you can't read
The different emotions of my face

You look at me
And search for answers
But you don't know
That my face is filled with questions

You look at me
And wonder why
Behind my fake smile
All I do is cry

You look at me
But you don't really see me
You don't know
That I'm someone else completely

You look at me
To try to find
What you don't know
And what's going through my mind

I look at you
And give you my best fake smile
To reassure you
All your thoughts have not been worthwhile.

    I liked this one. It is so true, I think we are all guilty of this at some point in our lives. We don't want people asking us questions so we just put on a fake smile and seem as if everything is okay when in fact it isn't. Very emotional piece, I loved it.

    this was realy a sad one too , you know
    being with someoone who cant realy knw or read us..how amazing would it be to be with a person who knows that our yes is a no..and our smile is a wound..
