Face Down In The Covers

by Nikkicola   Jul 11, 2010

I can almost feel your lips pressing against mine
I can still feel your touch although it fades with time
I know this makes little sense but to me your still here
Even though I'm certain here, will get me nowhere

I'd give my life to take back what I said
I'd rather you be in my arms then dead
I trace your lips against mine and pray
For you to reach out to me someday

Baby, I know the dead can't speak but if they could would you?
Would you take back the past and promise to be true?
I picture the red satin your coffin was filled with
As I see you and beg for one last kiss....

The ending isn't quite so pleasent, I've come to find
Grieving is an awful waste of time
So goodnight all, I'll see you love as soon as I cross over
I'll drink this poison and they'll find me face down in the covers

(I know this isn't quite my style but I was seeing if I could do it and I did) Tell me if you liked it or tell me how I could make it better anything is much appriciated. :)
