the cancer of love
and the plague of life "

I am torn in the crack
which has yet to split

I am afloat on the blood
which has yet to flood

I am buried in the ditch
which has yet to dig

I scream no more, I am

the yelled song,

in the yearning of loss

**

I shade no more, I am

the shadowed smile,

in the laugh of grief

**

I sleep no more, I am

the faint sleeper,

in the awakening of death
