Why not rip out my heart
replace it with something more practical
maybe a rock
with ragged edges
so everytime i breathe i bleed
kinda like i already do

why not pluck out my eyes
replace them with rivers
filled with salt
burning me everytime i open them
as they run down my face
trying to escape the pain filling up my soul

why not cut off my hands
replace each finger with a knife
so that when i try to reach out for you
i'll be able to cut you
tear through that smooth flesh of yours to the demon inside
make you bleed like i made myself bleed every night alone
crying out for you as though you actually cared

why not take my body
rip off each limb
shave off every hair
break every bone
tear off each strip of skin
replace them all
with another girl
someone pretty
someone you can actually love
