Feeling It

by Alexandra   Aug 24, 2010

Hear the pit-pat,
Of rain on a sill?
Everything outside,
Seems to stand still.
Hear those birds,
Sing a soft tune?
It's the first I've heard,
Even though it's noon.
See the sun,
Peeking out from behind gray?
It just means,
That it's a rainy day.
See the puddles,
That formed on the ground?
They are there,
But were made with little sound.
Smell it,
The fresh fallen rain.
All over again,
It makes me sane.
Smell it,
The scent of pine.
Makes me feel,
As if the world is mine.
If you don't feel,
The fact there's something new,
Try once again,
It's all around you.
