Simple world and simple time.
Promised treasures, love divine.
Darkness came and overthrew.
Simple people, me and you.
Leaders, liars, stealers, thieves.
This is what life's come to be.
Can we fix it? I think not.
Simple treasures we forgot.
Always trying for the best.
Need to stop, slow down, and rest.
All the rules and love have gone.
Never knowing right from wrong.
Always taking, never give.
