Master of Deception

by White Orchid   Sep 2, 2010

Glimpses of you and me
Replay in my mind
Picking up the pieces
Traveling back in time

Stitches upon my heart
Now bursting at the seams
My heart bleeding before you
This is me on my knees

No more of your sad eyes
For I have come to find
The person you are inside
Is where true distortion lies

Master of deception
Changed my perception
Tell me, did you ever foresee
That you'd forever lose me

Great use of imagery in this poem as well, and I like the subtle shift in theme from "You losing him" to "Him losing you" through your poems. It reflects self-confidence and self-worth, and really strengthens the resolve to keep going.
