The Art of Letting Go

by NightFlyer   Sep 6, 2010

Goodbye my friend, nothing remains
I fled from you on speeding trains
And reached this place where silence reigns
Now mute I stare through window panes
Our final chapter pages turned
Quickly I sped past bridges burned
For your presence, my life's bereft
Could someone fill the space you left
Right here I've come, no turning back
And from now on, it's you I'll lack
So straight ahead I'll gallop or
Cling to a past that is no more
Please teach me, life, I'll need to know
The gentle art of letting go.

Letting go of something so dear is not only
difficult but painful as well & that pain is felt in
each of your lines..a touching write..take care.
