The Same Moon Shadows

by Ronald Edwards   Sep 20, 2010

A collaboration between

2008

Do you see the same moon, as I
that lingers high, by night or day
in autumns sight
and wonder why ?

Or in summers warmth
under sterling stars,
this nighttime wandering
is it ours?

Do you see the same moon as I
that lies, in fiery skies
among palettes red
and wades away, in winters chill
with dreams of me, still?

Do you see the same moon as I
that saunters in, when spring arrives
and flowers creep from under
for me, keeping this eternal wonder?

Is that high in starry sky
an autumns Harvest Moon?
Where lovers dwell under its beams
spellbound by silent croon.

Or can it be in summers dusk
while fading sun sets low?
Horizons gentle passing clouds
engulfs this burning glow.

Yes I see that moon above
so bright with rounding shape.
Upon my heart emotions sway
nor dreams can never scape

Thru seasons of our earthly plane
these moons will always pass.
Illuminating happy times
as translucent looking glass.

Come gaze upon the heavens now
the moon is in full view.
Together soaked in glory
basking gently in its hue.

Meena couldn't have said it better. It truly has a melody of sorts. A great piece of work.

A wonderful collab with many ideas running across the poem. Varied emotions are also scattered on this piece as one has to think that when they look at the moon is their other half looking at the moon as well. Good job and keep writing.
