Cousin of Death

by BlueEyedMystery   Oct 2, 2010

Always left in the shadows,
The chill that lingers on your neck.
I'm the forgotten cousin of death.
Knowing me will be your biggest regret.

..Oh what a wonderful demise.

The intoxication weighs you down,
Leaves you gasping for air.
Place little kisses up your spine,
Leave my essence tangled in your hair.

..Let the fear show through your eyes.

Heartbeat shatters like a broken window,
The one you busted with your fist.
Trickle, trickle metallic drops,
I can't believe you let it come to this.

..Watch your reflection as it dies.

Slower and slower, I stop your heart.
All that's left to take now is your soul.
Gathering it in my hand, my job is done.
Time to let my cousin take control.

Everyone thought it was death who did the dirty deed,
but in reality it's me. He takes you to your final home.
But me, the cousin of death, takes your body and soul.
