Paradise Mountain

by RainbowSlider   Oct 12, 2010

On paradise mountain there are meandering springs.
Covered with rocks, ground, trees and living things.
Roads that are partly paved and dusty trails galore.
Squirrels climb the trees looking for nuts to store.

Birds that sing; Deer that play and Turtles roam.
Many people call this oasis their mountain home.
Once in a while you can see a person on the road.
Walking to or from work carrying a heavy load.

Who chooses to take his time turning down rides.
Because he enjoys walking and being in paradise.
He gets in no hurry and takes his precious time.
For time is precious to him and he hasn't a dime.

Happily go lucky he travels at his sweet pace.
He is always just smiling for he is in no race.
Checking out the scenery sometimes to wave.
A happy neighbor look; A picture might save.

Walking on a mountain trail as he passes by.
He smiles as he talks to you; I gave it a try.
I even wave back at him and smile his way.
Every time I see him it just makes my day.
