Contemplating Complacency

by Kuro   Oct 16, 2010

Ignoring the sun
As it shines in my face
Forgetting my burdens
Like they've been misplaced

Deep down I know
I'm dissatisfied
But for right now
I'll believe the lies

I'm too used to
Playing along
Pretending like
Nothing is wrong

The only way that
I can find peace
Is to put it off
And rest at ease

Well, it certainly is a poem about life. lol. I completely get it 100%. Life is about not thinking about the stress sometimes and the only way we can relax is to not think about it. I do that ALL the time. Great job!! :)

I agree with the ladies for once :-) I like your style of writing, it's simply with a lot of emotion or feelings attached.

Ben, very nice work. We all feel like this at times in our lives. Reminds me of the saying, Don't Rock The Boat.

In the line, I'm too used to The word used should be use I think.

^^a very sad writing..but again..i think some times best thing is to ignore the misery that is l living around us..to have some peace as we ignore the burdens that life bestowed ..
But again..we knw there would be a burden that we cant handle.. so chin up :)

sad writing, gd wording..i love the simplicity of it..unforced and am sure many can relate
