Farewell

by Fahd A AlSaleh   Dec 13, 2010

I asked a friend of mine
To describe RCSI in general
His first response was
That it was multi-cultural

Students from all around the world
Ireland, Canada, Malaysia
All parts of the Middle East
And south east Asia

To be truthful, at first
My knowledge about Malaysia was bad
So bad that I only knew it
From the truly Asia TV ad

So I came to class
Said hello to person in the neighboring seat
After a couple of days I realized
Malaysians are the majority of who I meet

Fear began to build up
So I called my fellow Arab friends
Told them that we are outnumbered
And our territory we shall defend

But our plans were unsuccessful
For we were just not skilled enough
And we Arabs are usually only good
At blowing up stuff

So thy shall join
Who thy cannot defeat
Just playing it safe
Don't want to have my ass beat

With time I figured that they're
Just a bunch of normal people, i suppose
After thinking that they're
A group of aliens I wanted to expose

There's the smart, and the funny
The crazy and the avid reader
The emotional and the motivated
And the future leader

The religious and the wild
The political and the kind
And the one who's mesmerized
By the human mind

The socialisers and bloggers
Of which I was quite impressed
But let us not forget
The overly depressed

The sport junkies
And the magnificent dreamer
And last but not least,
A fellow gamer

I hope that I can
Before this semester ends
Have you all
As my beloved friends

It has been a little less than three years
Or you can say a bit more than two
Either way, when you guys leave
We will truly miss you.
