Images of the Past and Future

by Dark Secrets   Mar 28, 2011

As I explore, and run with my mind
To the era of our forefathers, our blood
I daze at what they saw and find
Of a Bahrain, far from divine

My eyes are blinded by colors
Of palm trees, of beaches, of sunsets
Of springs in caves, hidden from dwellers
Known only to birds, echoing melody

Beneath sparkling waters, hues of green
Blurs of rainbows, passing in speed
A world of wonder, remained unseen
Intriguing the mind furthermore

Spite for a sole diver indulging in fluid
Looking for that one single pearl
Lying in a bed twinkling, background is faded
Or a sailor at sea, surprised by his catch

I return to the shore now before me
My eyes glimmer at the scene I now see
A cacophony of lights reflected in me
From buildings of new, morphing with old

Shadows of diversity emerge
Born of the history others have built
And now we stand as a whole, unity's' urge
To develop hand in hand, continue our goal
