Through & Over

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 6, 2011

I knew you first as a whisper
among brisk, unsettled air,
constricting space in my heart
you came to change and prepare.

After death became your debt,
it was impossible to continue.
To stay calm at the sunset
and watch you fall for hours.

I understand you last as an echo
making your voice spoken,
tides and lulling rush by
as a new memory is woken.

You showed me depth of dreams
how to remember and fly,
beyond unstopping streams
your face is lifted up to me.

Oh lovie :') what a heartbreaking write....I love this...first of all I want to point out the creativity in here...they were some beautiful images...and the wisdom in your words....beautiful... I must say the ending was my favorite part it kinda takes the weight of the sadness in the poem... Such a nostalgic bittersweet write...can't wait to see more of you...your poems are always a joy to read... -Mwaaa

This is a really uplifting piece. It has faith and signs that we all eventually learn and heal from life. Your flow was excellent in this so don't worry about it so much. Lovely use of words and it holds a comforting message. Brilliant write : )
