Sad Yellow

by Sunshine   May 15, 2011

I feel like a sad yellow,
that's dressing the moon-
as silver shines too deep,
just to fade too soon...

Like a murky spring
that dies afternoon, for
flowers flourish too fast,
for this heart to bloom.

I feel like a blue sun that pierces
the sky, as orange is too happy
for such light to die, and I?

like a green river that
flows too slow, and ripples
too high, that runs with a quiver
then dries with a sigh...

Wow... this poem made me sad :( but I loved it. I love the imagery and I think it was very suitable for this topic and your emotions, the title made sense as well!

    This was my favorite stanza:

    "Like a murky spring
    that dies afternoon, for
    flowers flourish too fast,
    for this heart to bloom."

    Great job!
