Special In Everyone's Day.

by Poet on the Piano   Jul 1, 2011

.
Part of me wants to effortlessly smile,
Because it leads over fear,
Because you've made me want to paint
Realistic colors of happiness on breaking buildings.
I wake up thinking
How silly, how lovely, how contagious
It is to keep writing
Singing
For the smile that's always blessed me
For that picture that's always loved me,
In a world waiting to be saved.

/

You smile once
I've made a deal
To walk closer
Watch you unseal-
A brilliant pull,
A dance for my heart
That keeps me full
With dawn's restart.

The world
Isn't as black
As they cautiously say.
Construction thoughts
Beginning to exhale,
I believe they'll see
You can never fail.
Carefully unpacking
The reason I've chosen
To live....again.

I can feel your smile
Melt the insecurity
Shake such immaturity,
You make me feel
All the worthwhile.

It's you soaring,
A lighthouse to this whole city,
While rain is outpouring
You gave all you have
Something big and pretty.

You shine your smile
This I know....
No one can ever be hostile
With the massive hearts
You've brought back,
By the beating of hopeful lips,
Your love you bestow.
