You're far away
in a endless fight
in a land ready to ignite.

I wish you'd be safe tonight.

Safe and sound I pray
my shining knight
please, please be alright.

I wish I may,
I wish I might,
I wish you'd come home tonight.

But to my dismay
you're lost in light
not coming home despite...

my endless wishes.

    I am so against our men being sent to far countries risking their lives and coming home to very little help from the Government that sent them. But :-) I will back off of that.
    I liked the way you wrote this, the hope shines eternal that they come back to us safe and sound.
