Black Widow

by Mel   Jul 19, 2011

I crawl so softly beneath your feet.
I cannot hide now, I must not retreat.
I am a Black Widow trekking the snow,
Your green eyes will see me wherever I go.

With fingers of fear, your grip is so fierce,
A moment alone is a moment so scarce.
I could be dead, a black rose on a tomb,
But still you will find some of me to consume.

From lust stained mouths, these lies would drip,
These words had you thinking I wont let you slip.
Your whispers of love in tunes oh so pretty,
I'd give up my world just to have you forget me.

The sparkling nights see you in my dreams,
And in the daylight I see you on your knees.
Begging, oh, begging to be back in my arms,
I will not kiss you on this side of the stars.

I tried to crawl softly beneath your feet,
I should have hid, but it's too late to retreat.
One day, those eyes wont see where I go,
But for now I'm a Black Widow,
Afraid of the snow.

Startling and mysterious like the life of a Black willow! I am able to get some but not all of the story here. The choice of words and the scenario you are describing are unique.
