Lightning bugs

Lightning bugs

Small and sweet

Light up the night as I'm walking

Walking trying to get back on the path

The path he set for me

They are like little angels guiding the way

And light up as they dance leading the way

He, he is my father

Not the one on earth

But the one in heaven

he created the earth and the stars

And lightning bugs to light up

help unhidden the scars

and the stories of those who need to be told

the slaves who were sold

the lives that would never be the same

They represent those who have had lost someone important to them

And when you look outside at night and see them light up

You will know your not the only one

But dint kill the lightning bugs

For what have they done to you

But guide you on your way

So you can stand with God today
