Pillar of love

by Paul Gondwe   Aug 13, 2011

You are the sparkle in my eyes,
shining in the midst of darkness
Filling my thoughts are
images of love,
forces I cannot fight off

You are my dream
A masterpiece
Like butter mixed with cream
You are my pillar of love
What keeps me breathing

In your arms,
i hope I will die old
In your warmth and comfort,
sheltering me from the cold

This is heart touching and very sweet to the hush ears. Love conveyed in simple beautiful words. Your gift of using words that deeply stays within ones thought even after reading is very amazing. Write on, God be with you always. Cheers!

Only 1 comment? This is very nice. Like all the feelings we have for someone wrapped up in a couple simple lines. Really just gets the message through. Good work.

I'm noticing you write brilliant love poems. My favorite line was "butter mixed with cream"! Lol I favorited this poem just for that line!
